Face Lift surgery (Rhytidectomy) is designed to address moderate to deep facial wrinkles and reduce or eliminate signs of aging in the lower two-thirds of the face. The goal is to attain a refreshed version of yourself without changing your fundamental appearance. This procedure does not stop the aging process, but it will significantly rejuvenate your appearance. People age differently due to both hereditary and environmental factors. For this reason, each facial rejuvenation surgery is approached on an individual basis with Dr Kaplan to address your degree of facial aging, overall health and your desired goals.
Neck lift surgery is often performed in patients whose neck has sagged with age or after weight loss. The procedure tightens loose neck skin and /or neck muscles to provide a smoother neck contour. In the setting of excess neck fat, liposuction may be needed alone or in conjunction with a neck lift.
Sagging eyelid skin or eyelid puffiness / bagging can significantly age your appearance, make you look tired or even appear unhappy. An eyelid lift is a surgical procedure very commonly performed to treat aging of both upper and/or lower eyelids. It often has a large impact on the rejuvenation of the upper face. Patients appear more vibrant, awake and youthful after surgery.
Chin surgery is a surgery used to reshape the chin either by enhancement with a chin implant or reduction surgery on the bone to achieve better facial proportion.
Breast augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that enhances, enlarges or restores the appearance of your breasts using saline or silicone breast implants and or autologous fat grafting. This procedure is tailored to address individual concerns relating to changes in breast appearance and shape due to congenital causes, pregnancy or age related changes of the breast.
Breast lift, otherwise known as mastopexy, is a procedure that restores a more natural shape to asymmetric, drooping or “deflated” appearing breasts. These changes often result from loss of breast tissue elasticity that takes place during puberty, pregnancy and natural aging. A breast lift may or may not be combined with breast implants depending on the aesthetic goal you wish to achieve. This procedure involves lifting the breast and redraping the skin envelope to restore a more youthful and aesthetic breast contour.
Breast reconstruction is performed to restore a breast that may have been surgically altered after single or double mastectomy for breast cancer. It is also performed to restore congenital breast defects. Options for reconstruction include breast implantation (saline or silicone) or autologous (use of your own tissue) reconstruction which helps to restore feminitiy and self confidence.
Breast reduction is a common procedure which removes excess breast tissue and skin to achieve a breast contour that is more proportionate to your body. It may help in reducing symptoms related to neck or back pain, shoulder grooving from bra straps, skin rashes and general discomfort related to disproportionately large breasts. This procedure may be covered by your medical insurance carrier, so a predeterminations can be submitted for their possible approval for coverage prior to surgery.
Gynecomastia is excess fat and breast tissue development in men, which often becomes a personal source of embarrassment or concern. There may be various causes ranging from congenital, hormonal, or medications. This surgical procedure often involves a combination of breast tissue direct excision with or without liposuction to contour the anterior chest wall for optimal aesthetic results.
Excess skin in the abdominal area that may result from massive weight loss or pregnancy is often best addressed by abdominoplasty. Although diet and exercise may help you achieve toned muscles, your skin may not necessarily tighten as much as one would hope, especially as we get older and our skin elasticity weakens. Abdominoplasty may help you attain your goal of a slimmer and toned body contour.
Liposuction is a fat reduction procedure best utilized in patients who have reached a healthy weight and continue to have areas of excess fat. It does not replace diet or exercise, nor is it a treatment for obesity. It is best used to target common problem areas such as face, neck, chest, “love handles”, abdomen, or thighs.
Brachioplasty is a surgical procedure used to reduce excess sagging skin, and tighten and smooth underlying supportive tissue to restore shape to the upper arm region. This may or may not be combined with liposuction to further reduce localized fatty deposits, reshape the arms and restore a more pleasing youthful appearance.
A thigh lift will reshape the thighs by reducing excess sagging skin or fat, and reposition the tissue to create a smoother and more proportioned contour to the lower body. A thigh lift may involve the outer thighs and hips (lateral thighplasty), the inner thighs (medial thighplasty), or the entire upper leg (circumferential thighplasty). It is sometimes combined with additional procedures such as buttock lift or abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to provide optimal body contouring and shaping.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure which reduces the labia size, removes sagging labial skin or corrects asymmetry of the labia in order to restore intimate female anatomic aesthetics. Childbearing and age related aging often contributes to these issues. Labiaplasty may help restore self confidence and contribute to a better quality of life.
